Outreach Local

We show God’s love by offering to do humble acts of service — with no strings attached.

It’s a simple, straightforward approach.

We strive to connect and relate to people as Jesus did by joyfully serving our way into their hearts.

Love INC

Love INC helps individuals and families in need.

Love INC is a proven model that networks local churches, church volunteers, and community organizations together to help people in need.  Through Love INC, churches and individual Christians are mobilized to work together across denominational lines to provide coordinated help to the poor with practical goods and services.  Life skills training and transitional housing programs are set up to address the deeper need of the families that we serve.

Non-Pantry Food

In an effort to help our community, we are partnering with Love INC. by collecting non-food essentials for families in need. Donated items can be dropped off in the church office Monday - Wednesday from 10 AM - 4PM. If you prefer, we are also taking monitory donations in order to purchase needed items. Thank you for considering helping our community in this way.

 Safe Families

“The problem with the world is that we draw the circle of our family too small.” – Mother Theresa

Every year, several million children in the U.S. find themselves living in a home overwhelmed by a crisis. Poverty, loss of job or a home can often result in children being neglected or worse. Compound those issues with many families living in isolation with no community to fall back on or stand in the gap.

This is where we come in. Safe Families provide a safe home for children and a supportive community for parents while they get back on their feet. Parents are provided with the space and support they need to address the issues impacting their ability to provide the best environment for their children.

There are many ways to get involved with the Safe Families for Children movement. Find your opportunity in the button below.

The Fold

Everyone needs help sometimes. Sometimes that is in magnanimous ways. Sometimes it is in simple ways. On the first and last Monday of every month, we help people in a simple way. We cover laundry costs and offer friendly conversation to anyone that may find themselves in need of these things. Come join us this month!

Widows Might

Widow’s Might is a group that is part service organization, part ministry and part support group for women who have lost their spouses.

The group includes about 50 women in the Newberg area and meets twice a month.

Northside Community Church has a passion to stand in the gap for those in need by offering access to food and food services. Their partnership with the Community Wellness Collective (CWC) this last year has opened their eyes to the growing need for consistent food and food services from one location in Newberg. It all started with Northside saying yes to opening their doors as a temporary location for the emergency shelter to offer lodging while updates were being made to their permanent location. The grant given to the Community Wellness Collective to safely operate this low barrier, emergency shelter will be used up as of June 30th and the shelter will discontinue lodging at Northside now that renovations are completed at the night by night shelter that YCAP will be operating. Northside intends to continue meal services in partnership with both YCAP, CWC and with the help of Providence, Love INC and many others in the community.

Northside’s kitchen has been used by the CWC to serve 40-70 meals daily and 2,130 meals monthly. 105 unique individuals arrive monthly for food and lodging. The CWC has been able to organize the preparation of crock pot meals, casseroles, homemade mexican food, pancakes, french toast, breakfast burritos, meatloaf, homemade pasta and pasta sauce, often by Rosemarino chefs who give their time and talent to serve those who come for food. On Thursdays volunteers have made BBQ ribs, chinese food, chili and so many more amazing foods in this kitchen. The kitchen has been well loved since the 1970’s and is in need of updates to appliances, counters, cupboards, electrical, plumbing and flooring if we intend on continuing this kind of service.

Since the end of 2023, Northside has begun fundraising efforts toward the vision of developing a community kitchen and we have began to break ground. Local businesses like Ken and Daughters Jewelers, Carey’s Custom Woodworking, Inc, Early Bird Rotary, Distinction Communication, Level Up, American Family ins., Coffee Cat, Kiwanis and many other local community groups have supported this vision.
