Online giving through your local bank.
A great way to accomplish online giving is through your bank’s secure Web site in the bill pay section of your online account. You can set up your payees, detail your transactions, and the bank sends the checks usually via regular mail, and usually free of charge.
Online giving transactions may be handled individually, or by setting up automated (periodic) giving. Speak with a teller at your local branch or visit your bank’s Web site for details.
Online giving through Fellowship One at Northside.
You could also set up a secure Fellowship One on-line giving account on the Northside Web site. Simply click here and sign up for an account. When you create your online account you will be able to schedule one-time gifts, as well as set up automated giving.
You can have your gift deducted directly from your bank account or processed on your debit or credit card. You may choose a one-time gift, or have your tithes and offerings deducted once a month, twice a month or each week. It’s easy to adjust—you may update or change your giving at any time by simply logging into your account and changing your settings.
And online giving automates record-keeping, allowing you to track your giving and access your giving summary throughout the year.
What is automated giving?
Automated giving is setting up schedule of giving that continues without interruption until you change the schedule.
The Bible teaches that we are to honor God with the ‘First Fruits’ of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify, you can ensure that your First Fruits are faithfully given back to God.
When you choose automated giving you are deciding, in advance, to give faithfully. God always blesses that kind of faith.
Online and automated giving makes giving simple and secure.
Instead of having to worry about writing a check and filling out an envelope during the service, you can be fully focused on worship, knowing that you have already given your offering. You won’t have to remember whether you gave this month or send in an offering by mail when you’re on a trip. And Northside utilizes Fellowship One, an encrypted secure Web site for your online records. Online giving is more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift can’t be lost or stolen.
What if I also put something in the offering on Sunday morning?
Rest assured, any contribution by cash or check within a properly labeled offering envelope will post to your giving record, to your on-line account should you decide to set one up, and your end-of-year giving statement.
Your information is held securely by the Fellowship One system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and modify or cancel those contributions anytime prior to the date they are scheduled.
Once the contribution has been processed however, it cannot be canceled. If you have any problems or questions related to this, please contact the Northside Finance Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
